My First Sunday at Wai Po's house
Sunday, 20.07.08Today is a sunny sunday. Daddy & Mummy brought me to Wai Po's house. The pink sleeveless romper that I'm wearing was a gift by Wai po. Nice ma?Wai po was sooo happy to carry me until we can only see her teeth instead of her eyes.

My first visit to Kidslink Clinic
Friday, 18.07.08I had an appointment with Dr Ng from Kidslink Clinic this morning at 11am. Mummy brought me to the clinic for my first jab of 6-in-1 vaccination & the Rotavirus dose today. Dr Ng did an examination on me and told Mummy that everything is fine. My weight had increased to 5.55kg with the length of 60cm and head circumference of 39cm. When the dose of Rotavirus was given to me via a springe, I frowned as it tasted weird. Thereafter, Dr Ng got Mummy to hold me tight as he gave me the jab. I cried loud immediately when the needle went into my left thigh. It was really painful. Mummy's tears nearly dropped too when she saw my discomfort. (Saw the plaster on my thigh?) But I felt much better right after Mummy comfort me. Thank u mummy....!! :)

I wanna play!! Dont wanna sleep..! Ah fei is busy with her chores and mummy says if I dont sleep, I'll have dark circle rings like a Panda Bear and she'll bring me to the zoo for people to view and take pictures with me....Arrggghhhh!

Daddy & Mummy brought me out to Edward gor gor's 2nd birthday party today.. Just came back and I'm now resting on their bed....Wahh...very comfortable...

New born babies are supposed to get lots of sleep in their initial months for their development but I just couldn't get to sleep. I want mummy to carry me but she refused...so I just have to.......

Today I've turned one month old and mummy's confinement nanny, ah lian had bought a pack of pretty flowers for my bath. She says it's for good luck... Don't know whether it's true...As you can see from my expression, I'm quite reluctant to go into the water.. but in order not to make mummy angry, no choice lo..

Baby Clara at week 2
Hi everyone, let me first introduce myself. My name is Clara Wong Yih Xuan. I'm now resting on my new pinky rocky bought by por por from Kiddy Palace. Thanks por por!! I love it!!It's sunday today and Daddy got no work..so he play with me lor.. don't know whether he is playing with me or disturbing me leh.. (see video)
Arrival of Baby Clara!

2- 3.00 am - Hubby couldn't sleep throughout the night. Keep pacing up and down as today will be the birth of baby Clara.
During my checkup on friday 16.05.08, Dr Lim advised me to go for a C-section as the ultrascan showed that Clara was in Occipito-Posterior Position (OPP). (OPP occurs when baby's face is facing forward & the back is on the extreme left or right.) A normal delivery is also possible but Dr Lim said that my labour will tend to be longer and the chances of using forceps are also higher. In order not to go through the long process, I had decided to choose a C-section.
4.00 am - Woke and wash myself up. Today will be the last day to wash my hair before confinement starts.
5.00 am - Left home with hubby towards Gleneagles Hospital. I remembered the Moon was big and bright on our way there. Strange. The feeling I had was like going to Changi Airport with my luggage.
6.00 am - Checked-in to the hospital. The Conceige brought us to my single bedded room. Looks old but cosy.
7.00 am - Nurse came to my room and confirmed my ID, checked if I've removed my nail polish, contact lenses and dentures (alamak! all my teeth are real leh...) got me to change my hospital robe and took my BP. On the other hand, Hubby was looking so tense...so quiet.. Instead of asking me to relax, the nurse told my hubby to stay cool. Haha...
7.30 am - I was being pushed to the operation theatre and my hubby followed me, holding my left hand, sayang my head...so sweet..keke. When I entered the OT, I could hear radio..it's class 95 fm. I chose to have full GA instead of Epidural as I was afraid of listening to the metal instruments docs use.
7.45 am - Dr Gordon Lim arrived at the OT, slapped my left leg and said " How are u feeling?", "Don't feel nervous as it will soon be over..." The GA insert the drip on my left hand and very soon I fall into deep deep sleep..... ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz
8.00 am plus - Baby Clara was born!!!
Weigh 3.415 kg,Length 49cm & HC 35cm

Every sunday hubby and I will attend the antenatal class at 10am at AMK Hub.. The classes were conducted by TMC, teaching new parents the essential guidelines before and after delivery.
This sunday is different as Hubby's buddies came to our house to pre-celebrate his birthday. (His birthday falls on 21.04.08, same date as Clara's Estimated Due Date: 21.05.08)

7 months pregnant.. counting down to the arrival of my little gal
14.03.08: Just had my regular checkup this morning at 9.00 am with my gynae. I'm almost towards my last trimester thus have to be cautious every now and then..My gynae is Dr Gordon Lim from Gleneagles Medical Centre and so far both my hubby and I are quite pleased with him. He will record on video the movements of my baby on every visit and we can safekeep it as a memory. Being first timers as parents, Dr Lim will not hestitate to answer all our queries whenever we have any doubts.
